Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance Request for Proposal
The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) to measure the baseline compliance rate for residential and non-residential buildings in Illinois against the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code. The work that is to be carried out in the RFP is funded as part of the recent Department of Energy Solicitation.
The state of Illinois intends to measure the baseline compliance rate with the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code for new construction. By establishing a baseline compliance rate, the state will gain a better sense of how close or far it is from meeting the 90% requirement. This will include information on how to do the compliance measurement as well as data on what aspects of the code builders typically comply with. This RFP intends to find the most qualified contractor to carry out the work.
Due date for all responses is January 31st, 2011, and questions may be submitted until January 24th, 2011.
